Yesterday, all students who apply through Arcadia University go on a bus trip to Tuscany. Well, that left pretty much a group of 30 students behind, half of which were Dutchmen. Umbra Institute provided a brunch/bonding time to make up for the lack of trip. We went to Al Mangier Bene, and let me tell you, I never thought there was such a thing as too much food. First, the waiters brought out bread and oil, which I happily accepted. Then, came the prosciutto and formaggio [cheese], again I chowed down. Third, we were given garlic bread and bite size snacks, obviously, I devoured thinking this was a typical brunch and probably the last course. I was wrong. One course after another came out. Spaghetti [which is an appetizer to Italians], insalata [salad], beef and potatoes, more bread, and lastly a cappuccino. Absolutely rediculous amount of food. #firstworldproblem.
After "brunch", a few girls attempted to take the bus to the mall and it failed miserably. We got on the wrong bus the first time, got off to catch the right bus, but it didn't stop at the stop we were waiting for and spent about two hours waiting outside. #fail. Instead we went sightseeing around Perugia, until it was time for our LVC dinner.
